遠方より友来たる 2 (A Friend Comes from Far Away 2)

9月25日から28日まで、九州福岡から友人が訪ねてくれました。

世話になるからと、焼酎がひと箱届きました。いつもの女子会メンバーがうなぎ弁当を用意してくれて、皆でさっそく飲み比べをしました。

One of our friends visited us from Fukuoka, Kyushu, from September 25 to September 28.

He sent us a box full of Japanese shouchu and our female friends in Matsumoto came to our house with a take-out eel dish to taste different bottles of shouchu. We had a very good time!

９月25日は気持ちの良い秋晴れ。福岡空港からのフライト、空港の展望台で待っていましたが、とてもスムーズに着陸しました。

September 25 was such a find autumn weather that our friend's plane arrived very smoothly.

空港からの帰路に松本市内を観光。

まずは木曽屋で腹ごしらえ。鯉のうま煮定食と田楽を頼みました。

On the way back, we stopped by central part of Matsumoto.

First we had a boiled-carp dish in Kisoya restaurant.

縄手通りから中町を歩きました。

中町蔵の会館では屋内を見せてもらいました。

Before lunch, we walked through Nawate street and after lunch, through Nakamachi Street.

On Nakamachi Street, we visited one of the traditional houses.

県の森公園では旧制高等学校記念館に行き、北杜夫の書斎なども見ました。

In Agatanomori Park, we visited Museum of the Old High School System and saw the study room of Morio Kita.

松本からの帰り道では、湯多里山の神♨️にも寄りました。

On the way home, we stopped by the hot spring, Yuttari Yamanokami.

26日、友人は黒部ダムを楽しみに行くというので、扇沢まで送りました。快晴で、紅葉にはまだ早かったものの山がくっきりと見えたので良かったということでした。

夜は、ファインビュー室山の♨️に行きました。

27日は、午前中、国営アルプス安曇野公園を訪れました。黄花コスモスがこの週末で終わりになるところですが、まだ十分楽しめました。

On the 26th, our friend visited Kurobe Dam. We drove him to Ougisawa, the gate of the dam.

It was too early for the autumn colors but our friend said that he could enjoy a very celar view of the mountains.

On that evening, we visited the hot spring, Fainview Muroyama.

On the 27th, our first destination of the sightseeing was the Alps Azumino Government Park, where the yellow cosmos were still blooming.

あづみ学校社会科教室でそば打ちをさせてもらいました。かなり良いできだったと思います。打ち立てのお蕎麦、美味しかったです。

In the Social Studies room in Azumino Schoo, we learned how to make buckwheat noodles. I think that we made them quite well. In fact, they tasted very delicious.

公園中央部分はインパチェスが満開です。

In the central part of the park, the inpatience were in full bloom.

こちらのコスモスは咲きだしたところです。

彼岸花も開き始めです。

The cosmos in this part have just started blooming.

The cluster amaryllis have started blooming, too.

大王わさび田でもひがん花が満開でした。

The cluster amalyllis in the Daiou horseradish fields were in full bloom, too.

9月27日は穂高神社の大祭、お船祭り。

15時からの本祭に間に合うように穂高神社にでかけました。

On Sep. 27, Hotaka Shrine hold its biggest festival, Ofune-Matsuri(Boat Festival).

We arrived at the shrine to be in time for their main festival.

この日はしゃくなげの湯♨️に行きました。

Afterwards, we enjoyed the hot spring, Shakunagenoyu.

最初の夜は焼酎でフォンデュ、二日目はビールで鴨のステーキ、三日目はワインでピザでした。

朝食は一日目、二日目はパン食、三日目は和食でした。お客さんがあるとれいこさんが腕に縒りを掛けてくれて、美味しい物が食べられるから、僕は嬉しい。

We enjoyed oild fondu with Japanese shouchu on the first night, duck steak with beer on the second night, and pizza with wine on the third night. The first and second breakfasts were western style and the third one was Japanse style. When we have a house guest, Reiko prepares dinners more carefully than usual to my heart delights.
