宮古島への避寒旅：経由地、堺・岸和田 (Wintering in Miyako Island:Via Sakai and Kishiwada)

2月に安曇野ではあまりに寒い日が続いて、宮古島への避寒を思い立ちました。

関空から出発するため、堺のお姉さんのところに前泊させてもらうとしたら、白浜に行くというので、3月4日に堺入りしました。

In February, we suffered from so many cold days that we decided to get out of Azumino for wintering in Miyako Island. As our plane left from Kansai Airport, we needed to stay in Osaka one day before. Reiko's sister happened to have a trip to Shirahama on the day and we went to her place in Sakai two days before.

3月4日は寒波が降りてきていて、松本から塩尻は積雪していました。

僕らは「しなの」で名古屋に出て、新幹線で新大阪、御堂筋線と泉北高速で堺に入りました。

途中、今日とタワーがはっきり見えました。

On March 4, it had snowed the night before in Matsumoto area.

We took a "Shinano" Super Express to Nagoya from Matsumoto, then took a Shinkansen to Shin-Osaka. From there, we took a Midousuji subway and a Senboku Kousoku train.

We could see Kyoto tower very clearly on the way.

堺のお姉さんのところでは、お寿司とお刺身を食べさせてもらいました。大阪まで出てきただけで、お魚が美味しい。

Reiko's sister treated us with a nice set of Sushi and Sashimi. Their fishes are much better than in Hotaka.

お姉さんの庭には、すでに沈丁花やアネモネも満開で、パンジーの花もたくさん咲いていました。大阪の方が穗高よりもずーーーっと、暖かいということですね。

We were surprised to find many flowers in Reiko's sister's garden. Osaka is definitely warmer than Hotaka.

翌朝、白浜に出かけるお姉さんたちをお見送りし、大阪のお友達が車で拾ってくれました。

お友達には岸和田の中華料理店でお昼をご馳走に。味も良いけど、量もたっぷりでした。

On the next morning, March 5, we saw off Reiko's sister and her husband for Shirahama. Then our friend picked us up by his car and drove to a nice Chinese restaurant in Kishiwada. Their dishes were not only delicious but also full!

昼食後、岸和田城を案内してもらいました。

After lunch, our friend took us to Kishiwada Castle.

大きなお城ではないけれど、とても綺麗に整備されています。

It is a cozy castle which is nicely preserved.

この日は天気が良くて、天守閣からの景色も最高でした。

関空や比叡山も見えました。

It was a fine day and the castle tower commanded fine views of Kansai Airport and Mt. Hiei.

向かいの公園では梅ももう見頃を過ぎようとしていました。

散策の終わりに、プリンとチョコラテというのを頂きました。

お昼もたっぷり食べたので、この日の夜は、お姉さんが牛肉を買っておいてくれたのに、フルーツなどで軽くすませました。ワインも、宮古島の帰りに飲めばよいと残していったら、帰ってくる前になくなっていました。(お姉さんの家では、アルコールがそんなに長く放ってはおかれないと悟ったのでした）

The plum blossoms were already going to fall.

At the end of the walking, our friend bought us a cup of pudding and a cup of Chocorate Latte.

As we had a big lunch, we had only some fruits for supper, though Reiko's sister left some beef in the fridge for us. We did not finish the wine bottle, either. Reiko said that we would drink it on the way back from Miyako Island, only to find it finished by the time we came back!
