宮古島への避寒旅：終盤と帰路(Wintering in Miyako Island: Last Few Days and On the Way Back)

宮古島5日目、3 月10日、は曇り空で気温も低かったので（といっても、17度ありましたが）、暖かい室内（24度で）から海を見ながら本を読んでゆっくり過ごしました。

On March 10, the fifth day in Miyako Island, it was cloudy and cool, around 17 degrees, so that we stayed in the warm room looking over the sea and reading a book.

宮古島6日目、3月11日は、再び晴れ。

On March 11,the 6th day in Miyako Island, it was another fine day.

一昨日のクルージングでのお魚見学が楽しかったので、もっと近くのシギラリゾートエリアの船に乗ることにしました。こちらは珊瑚礁に近いので、お魚見学にはもっと適しているように思いました。また金額が安く、さらにリゾート割引きも効いたので、お得でした。

As the cruising was pleasant with many fishes swimming at a coral reef, we took another boat neaby the hotel and close to a coral reaf to see more fishes. This boat costs less and as it belongs to the Shigira resort area, we could get a discount. After all, it was a very good deal.

船の時は1時間45分乗船していましたが、往復、それぞれ45分のクルージングで、珊瑚礁にいた時間は15分でした。こちらの船は45分の乗船時間ですが、出航する否やお魚やウミガメが見えました。最初、湾内は水が少し曇っていましたが、湾の外に出ると水が澄んで、もっとはっきり見えました。おおきなマグロなども寄ってくるのでびっくりでした。

We rode the cruising ship for one hour and 45 minutes but it took 45 minutes to go to a coral reaf and we could stay at a coral only 15 minutes. This boat ride lasted only 45 minutes but we could see fishes and turtles as soon as we left the pier. Inside of the bay, the water was less transparent but once we got out of the bay, we could see fishes very clearly. We were also surprised by big fishes like tuna, too.

シマシマ、青、黄色の魚が、やっぱり南海っぽくて綺麗です。

We loved fish with stripes, and blue and yellow fishes. They are typical tropical fishes for us.

お天気が良く、風もなかったので、再度、シギラビーチを訪れました。

As it was such a nice day without wind, we visited the Shigira beach again.

今回は磯にたくさんの魚が泳いでいるのを眺めることができました。こちらのお魚の方が、ガラス越しでないし、船が動いていないので、綺麗な写真が撮れました。この時は一眼レフを持ってきていたらなあと後悔しました。

This time, we could see many kinds of fish at shallow waters. Here we could see them more clearly and thought that we should have taken a better camera.

一日ゆっくりできる最後の日でお天気も良かったので、もう一度、東平安名崎公園まで足を延ばしました。今回はここで引き返すつもりだったので、公園内をゆっくり、前回行かなかったところも散策しました。

It was the last day we could spend the whole day on the island and it was such a fine day that we drove all the way to Higashi-Hennazaki Park again. This time we took enough time to walk in the park, visiting some spots we had not visited.

風が無かったので、この日は僕らの写真もたくさん撮ってもらえました。

Without strong wind, we had many pictures of us taken, too.

3月12日、今日で宮古島ともお別れです。

宮古島では日の出が安曇野より15分から20分遅く、この日は6時50分に昇りました。出てくる時間が予測できるようになり、綺麗な朝焼けを撮ることができました。

On March 12, the last day of the nice week in Miyako Island.

By then, we learned thier sunrise is 15-20 minutes later than in Azumino. On this morning, the sun rose at 6:50.

Presuming the time of the sunrise, we could take nice morning pictures.

レンタカーを返したりと、慣れない手続きがあるから少し早めに動いたら、何もかもがスムーズに行き、時間がたっぷりあったので、空港前の公園で少し時間を費やしました。

帰路は窓際の席だったので、飛行機から空港や宮古島の景色を眺めることもできました。

We had to return the rent car and left the hotel in good time. Everything was done very smoothly and we found ourselves much earlier than expected in Miyako Airport. We took a walk, therefore, in front of the little park of the airport.

This time out plane seat was at the window side and we could see a nice view of the island from the sky.

淡路大橋が見えてきて、関空に到着。関空からは南海線で堺に戻りました。夜はお姉さんの料理を頂きました。

Before landing we could see Iwaji Great Bridge from the plane.

From Kansai Airport, we used Nankai trains to go back to Sakai.

At Sakai, Reiko's sister was waiting for us with her treat for supper.

翌朝、お姉さんに見送ってもらって信州に戻りました。

On the next morning, Reiko's sister saw us off at the nearest station.

兄達へのお土産です。宮古島の味、ソーギもジーマーミというお豆腐も、美味しかったです。泡盛とお茶はまだ飲んでいませんが、楽しみにしています。

These are our souvenirs for the older brothers. Thanks to these souvenirs, our older brothers could enjoy some of Okinawa dishes, too. We have not tasted Awamori liquor and Okinawa jasmine tea, yet, but soon we will try!
