宮古島への避寒旅：一日目と二日目（Wintering in Miyako Island: The First and the Second Day)

3月6日、関空からANAで宮古島に飛びました。

On March 6, we flew to Miyako by ANA.

宮古島に到着したら、レンターカー会社の人と合流。白のヤヌスを借りることになりました。大きさ的には僕らの車と同じで、運転はしやすかったです。

空港近くのお店でお昼ご飯をゲットしたのですが、南国らしいフルーツが一杯でした。

At the airport, we rented a Toyota's Yaris, which is more or less similar to our own car and was easy to drive.

On the way to our hotel, neara the airport, we pruchased our lunch in a local shop where we found many kind of tropical fruits.

シギラリゾートエリアにあるウェルネスヴィラブリッサ 宮古島に一週間滞在します。

We stayed in this hotel, Wellness Villa Brisa, for a week.

滞在型ホテルで、ちょっとしたマンションのような作りです。

It is a condominium style hotel.

テラスからの海の景色が素晴らしい！

The sea view from our terrace was wonderful!

テラスでランチ。沖縄らしいヌードルとかお餅、カニステルという初めての果物を食べました。

冬ですが、庭には色々な花が咲いています。

We had lunch on the terrace, enjoying the sea view. Our lunch was Okinaya style noodle and dumpling as well as our first fruits, Canistel.

Though it was winter, we found many flowers in the hotel garden.

初日なので、まずはシギラセブンマイルズリゾートを、無料巡回バスで一周しました。それから近場のAコープまでドライブしました。サトウキビ畑がいかにも沖縄っぽかったです。

To get some ideas about the area, we first took a free bus in Shigira Seven Miles Resort. Then we drove a neaby A-Cope. We loved the scenery of sugar cane fields.

Aコープに行ったときは夕方の時間になっていたので、お魚がなく、たこ焼きやら野菜を買ってきました。ビールに野菜チップのおつまみも。

牛乳は1パック440円、卵が6個で240円というので、びっくりしましたが、そこのお店が高いのではなくて、島値段のようです。

As we arrived at A-Cope around 4 in the afternoon, there were no fish any longer. We purchased Takoyaki and some vegetables, as well as vegetable chips to go with our evening drink.

We were first very astonished at the prices of milk and eggs, which are twice as expensive as ours. Later we gradually learned that things are very expensive there.

3月7日、宮古島2日目。雨は降っていませんが、曇りです。

朝食には、持って行ったパンとジャム、カニステル、サラダ、それにこの写真を撮っているときに茹でていた卵。

テレビでは沖縄舞踊が映っていました。

On March 7, the second day in Miyako Island.

It was not rainy but cloudy enough to discourage us.

For breakfast, we had the rye bread and the blackberry jam, which we brought there, together with salad and canistel, and a boiled egg, which we were boiling when this photo was taken.

On TV, they were showing a local dance.

お天気があまり良くないので、近場のシギラビーチを散策することに。ここの駐車場は1000円かかりますが、ホテルに言えば券を無料で出してくれます。

As it was cloudy, we stayed near the hotel. As the hotel served a free parking ticket to Shigira Beach, which usually costs 1,000 yen, we first went there.

天気が悪かったせいか、お魚には出会えませんでしたが、浜にはいろいろな花が咲いていました。

また、この鳥、こちらではよく見かけます。警戒心があまりないのか、近くまでやってきます。

We could not see any fish on this day, probably because of the bad weather, but we saw many flowers on the beach. We also found a purple bird. It was not familiar to us but there were many in this island.

シギラビーチには泳げる海岸もあります。

There was a sand beach where you can swim.

ビーチには船やブランコも。

前日は魚を買い損ねたので、もう一度、今度はお昼前にスーパーによったら、近海で捕れたというマグロがありました。トンボマグロという、聞いたことのない名前ですが、あっさりして臭みがなく、とても美味しく頂きました。

As we failed to get fish the day before, we tried the same A-Cope before lunch on this day and got a piece of fresh tuna which was caught in the nearby sea. This tuna tasted very differently from those we are accustomed and we loved it.

午後は、これまた、ホテルが一回は無料券をくれる、シギラ温泉に行きました。最南端、最西端の天然温泉だそうです。プールは写真オーケーでした。他に三種の露天風呂、二種のサウナ、それに内風呂がありました。

In the afternoon, we visited Shigira Hotspiring, whose free ticket was served once by the hotel, too.

This hotspring is located in the most south and west in Japan and has two kinds of swimming pool, 3 kinds of open-air baths, 2 kinds of Sauna and one indoor bath.

温泉なので、お天気が悪くても暖かかったです。午後はここでゆっくり過ごしました。

As it was a hot spring, we could enjoy the whole afternoon there in spite of the cloudy weather.
