On July 17, we visited our friend in Hase village, Ina City, who came back from Germany to take care of her hospitalized father. As the weather was still unsteady at the end of the rainy season, I asked my older brothers to help me keep the good weather. We needed it because Reiko had to drive on a high way after a long interval.

This time, Po the 5th accompanied us and Reiko's friend treated us with many delicious (and healthy) dishes.

Hase is located on such a high land that we did not need an air conditioner at all. Actually it was so chilly at night that we slept with two covers!

left: Jyly 18 was a fine day.

middle: We found many white butterflies on the field of Oregano.

right: We harvested many small potatoes, which had managed to grow without being taken care of and which we enjoyed at dinner later by loasting with butter.

Our friend drove us to Jinmyouji temple in Ina city.

There were big white and pink lotus fields at the side of the parking lot and they were just blooming.

These flowers made us feel cool though the sun was quite strong.

This temple is famous for tis hydrangeas.

left: There was a buried eathen jar which makes sound when water drips into it. We loved its sound!

middle: The whole range of the Southern Alps could be observed from the temple, too.

right: We cound budda stone statues surrounded by hydrangeas here and there.

There was a big hydrangea garden behind the main building.

There were various pathes with many kinds of hydrangeas.

left: Yama, judge after the life, was there, too. We reported him that we were good horses.

middle: A bumboo bush went very well with hydrangea bushes.

right: Cicaders were chirping loudly and we looked around to find them very close on the nearby tree.

We had a wonderful buckwheat noodle lunch with a set of deep fried vegetables in the restaurant, Tochinoki, in Kantenpapa garden.

After lunch we enjoyed a walk in the garden.

Later we purchased some items in Kantenpapa shop, saw our friend's father in the hopsital, and then take a nice hot bath in Sakuranoyu hotspring in Takato.

left:The dinner on this day was a BQ with lamb, our favorite.

middle: On the next morning, we had a short walk to look down the Miwa dam.

right: White hydrangeas were in full bloom, too.

We left Hase to meet our friend in Minowa at 11:30, who invited us to another delicous lunch in a cozy restaurant. She had also harvested fresh vegetables on that morning for us to take.

They had predicted a heavy rain in the afternoon but we did not have any and came home without any difficulties. My older brothers were, therefore, treated with many souvenirs as usual!
