信州紅葉狩り(Autumn Colors in Shinshu)

11月5日、好天に恵まれ、お友達の誘いを受けて急遽、白馬岩岳に出かけることになりました。

ゴンドラが新しくなっていて、乗り心地、最高でした。

On Nov.5,we were blessed by such a fine day that one of our friends in Matsumoto kindly drove us to Hakuba Iwatake. They installed a new type of gondolas which were very quiet and comfortable to ride.

高い所は紅葉が終わりかけていましたが、白馬三山など、雪景色が綺麗でした。

The leaves in high places had fallen but we enjoyed fresh snow sceneries.

紅葉は中腹のあたりが見頃で、リフトで降りて行く途中の景色は素晴らしかったです。

Autumn colors are mostly found in the middle of the mountains on this day. The sceneries observed from a lift were excellent.

11月8日、この日も晴天でした。6日に大町あたりの紅葉も見頃だったし、大町くらいなられいこさんの運転でも行けるというので、朝から車を走らせました。この日は五世兄も一緒でした。

On Nov. 8 was another fine day. We saw nice autumn colors in Omachi the other day and Reiko said that she could drive there for herself. So we decided to drive to see autumn colors again and left early morning, this time with Po th 5th with us.

国営アルプス安曇野公園大町地区にも寄りました。紅葉が見頃でした。金曜日ということで、ほとんど人がいなくて、ゆっくり散策できました。

We stopped by Alps Azumino Government Park in Omachi, too, where autumn colors were in ther best though there were very few people in the park.

新蕎麦が食べたいと、美味しいと言われていたお蕎麦屋さんに少し早めに寄りました。うまく待ち時間無しでお蕎麦と天ぷらを出してもらったけれど、先日の聖高原のお蕎麦と天ぷらの方が美味しかった。ちょっと残念。

The season of new buckwheat noodles have started and we stopped by one of the noodle restaurant. It used to serve very good noodles but this time we were a little disappointed at the taste of its noodles. It may because we had such a good plate of buckwheat noodles and Tempura, the other day, in Hijiri Hights.

1日からウィンターイルミネーションが始まっていたので、夜、出かけました。

まだ始まったばかりで人が少なくて良かったけれど、夜になるとやはり冷え込みます。イルミネーションが始まると、安曇野の秋は終わりですね。

Winter Illumination started on Nov. 1 in Alps Azumino Government Park in Hotaka.

There were not so many people yet and we enjoyed strolling around in the beutiful illuminations but we got chilled quite a lot. The illumination tells the end of the autumn in Azumino.
