年末年始2026年 (New Year's Eve and 2026 New Year Holiday)

2025年12月29日、餅つきもできるホームベーカリーを購入し、今年は初めて、我が家で餅つきをしました。

一回につき最大三合ですが、もち米を仕込むだけでつき終わりまで放置していればよく、12個のお餅が簡単にできました。自分でついたお餅は、既製品のものよりも味が濃く、美味しいです。これからは何かにつけてお餅をついてもらえそうで、楽しみです。

Dec. 29, toward the end of 2025, we purchased a new home bakery which makes rice cakes as well as various kinds of bread and made rice cakes for the first time in this house. Three cups of rice is the maximum to make rice cakes at one time but we made 12 rice cakes at our first try, which was enough for us. Besides it was much easier to make them than we had expected. From now on, we can make fresh rice cakes as we wish.

2025年は早くに大掃除をすませ、あらかじめ準備できるお節料理は冷凍にしておいたので、大晦日に何品か作り足し、お重にお節料理を詰めたら、年越し準備は完了となりました。

As we had cleaned the house and polished the floor early in December as well as prepared the New Year dishes beforehand, we did not have much to do for the new year holiday. On the last day, we finished the New Year preparation early enough and went to bed early in the evening.

2026年元旦、安曇野は曇り予想でしたが、それでも初日の出を見ようと朝はいつもより少し早めに起き出しました。

The first day of 2026 was expected cloudy in Azumino but we anyway got up earlier than usual to see the sunrise.

雲はありましたが、雲の合間から北アルプスを眺めることもでき、美しいモルゲンロートと日の出を拝めました。

There was some clound in the north but we could see the Northern Alps between the cloulds as well as the Northern Alps in Morgen Rote and the beautiful sunrise.

雲があったので、元旦の冷え込みは-5度でしたが、前夜仕込んでおいた氷でおウマアートが綺麗に仕上がりました。今年はウマ年。青馬の群れでご挨拶です。

With the clouds, the temperature was not so low -- only -5 degrees but was cold enough to make a nice ice art.

As this year is the year of the horse, it is very suitable to say Happy New Year with these blue horses.

元旦の穗高神社はひどく混むのですが、あまり早く行くと破魔矢が手に入りません。僕らはちょうど9時に神社に到着。駐車場は混み始めていましたが、並ばずに入れました。帰るときはすでに列ができていたので、9時は狙い目でした。

On the first day of the year, Hotaka Shrine is usually very crowded. Still if we visit there before 9, we cannot buy amulets. We arrived there at 9 and we managed to park our car without waiting. Later when we were leaving, we found a queue and congestion. 9 o'colock was a good time to visit there.
