ネパールの旅 11：パタンと帰路 (Travel to Nepal: Patan and the Way Back)

3月18日、旅行7日目、帰路ではゆっくり休めない時間帯での移動となることもあり、朝はゆっくりホテルで過ごせるようにしてあった。出発までにお買い物などもできた。

On March 18, the 7th day of our travel and the last sightseeing day, we started very late so that we could take a good rest for the flight back. We could do some shopping in the morning, too.

昼食はヒマラヤ蕎麦。蕎麦粉がヒマラヤ産というだけで、日本のお蕎麦屋さんのようなメニューだった。蕎麦は、もう少しコシがあるとよかったかな。

For lunch we visited Himalayan Buckwheat Noodle Restaurant. Their menu was similar to the one in Japanese Buckwheat Noodle Restaurant but I prefer a little more al dente noodle.

庭には花が咲き乱れていました。

Their garden was well maintained with nice flowers.

藤の花が満開だったので、気候的には初夏かな。気温は27度くらいでした。

Wisteria was in full bloom. It was about 27 degrees and early summer weather.

午後はパタンを訪問しました。

In the afternoon, we sightsaw in Patan.

中央：ここにもクマリの館がありました。

middle: There was Kumari Bahal, too.

遠くにランタンが見えました。最後のヒマラヤの景色です。

We could see Mt. Langtang far away, our last view of Himalaya.

二つの仏塔のあいだの白い雲のようなものが、ランタン山です。

The white cloud-looking mountain between two pagodas is Mt. Langtang.

観光を始めようとしたら、お祝いの行列に遭遇。輿のご主人が90歳のお祝いだったようです。

We came across with a line of people for celebration. They were celebrating the 90 year old birthday of the husband on the palanquin.

最後の夕食は日本料理店でお重が出ました。美味しかったです。

日本に戻る前に日本食を食べなくてもと言えるかもしれないけれど、ネパール食にお腹がついていっていなかったので、嬉しかった。

For the last dinner, we had a Japanese dish in a Japanese restaurant.

As we were coming back to Japan, you may say that we did not have to eat Japanese food but as our stomach had had troubles with Nepali food, we loved this Japanese dinner.

上段左：飛行機はたった一時間の遅れで出発しました。なんということはない、と思えるようになっていました。

上段中央：香港空港のスカイウォーク

上段右：スカイウォークからは飛行機を見下ろすことができます。

下段左：香港のビジネスラウンジで

下段中央と右：最後の最後、一番短いフライトでやっとフラットになるシートを獲得できた。もうちょっと眠れる時にフラットになって欲しかったな！

upper left: This flight was only one hour late -- It was nothing to mind, we could say!

upper middle: Skywalk in Hong Kong airport.

upper right: From Skywalk, we could look down airplanes.

lower left: In the Business lounge in Hong Kong.

lower middle and right: At last we could got a flat seat. This was the shortest flight of all we had had. We wished to have this kind of seat when we could take some sleep!

左：日本に戻って来ました！　高知桂浜が見えます。

中央と右：日本は寒波に襲われていて、四国山脈には雪が見えます。ネパールとの気温差が応えます！

left: We came back to Japan. We could see Katsura Beach in Kouchi.

middle and right: We saw fresh snow on Sikoku Mountains. Japan had been attacked by the cold air mass and we were shivered by the different temperature.
