ネパールの旅 10：カトマンズ市内観光2 (Travel to Nepal: The Sightseeing of Kathmandu 2)

3月17日、ナガルコットを出発して午前中、世界遺産チャングナラヤン寺院を観光。

On March 17, leaving Nagarkot, we visited the world heritage Changunarayan Temple.

チャングナラヤン寺院でトイレ休憩をしましたが、あまりにしょぼくて落ち着かなかったうえ、市内にも適当なトイレがないということで、カトマンズ市内観光前に、この立派なホテルに立ち寄りました。大型バスが入り込み、トイレだけ使用して出て行っても、ホテルの誰も文句を言いませんでした。

We used a toilet in Changunarayan Temple but it was not so cozy. What was more, we could not expect a cozy toilet during the city sightseeing, our tour bus stopped in a certain large hotel just for using their toilets. To my surprise, nobody in the hotel complained about it.

初日、ヒマラヤ遊覧飛行が遅れたために訪れることができなかったボダナートに行きました。

We then visited Boudhanath, where we had to skip on the first city sightseeing day on account of the delay of the sightseeing flight.

ボダナートは一番大きな寺院です。

Boudhanath is the biggest temple in Kathmandu.

チベットが中国に支配されて、多くのラマ教の人たちがこちらに逃げてきているそうです。

They say that nowadays Tibet is under the rule of China, many Lamaists have taken refuge in Nepal now.

昼食は鉄板焼きでした。

鉄板は熱々で、見た目には胃に応えそうでしたが、思ったより軽くて、スパゲッティも焼きそばのような味で、完食しました。

This day's lunch was a hot plate chicken.

The hot plate was really hot. The baked chicken looked quite heavy to the stomach but it turned out to be not so heavy but very tasty. The noodles tasted like Japanese Yakisoba and were delicious, too. We ate up all.

午後は、初日、ホーリー祭の騒動で観光が中止となったダルバール広場を再訪。前回とはまったく異なる雰囲気でした。

In the afternoon, we revisited Durbar Square in Kathmandu, where we had been involved in the tumalt of Holi Festival on the first visit. The atmosphere was completely different from the first visit.

夕食はドゥワリカホテル内の「クリシュナルパン」でネパール料理を楽しみました。

For dinner, we enjoyed typical Nepali dinner in Krishnarpan inside of Hotel Kwarika's.

ロキシを注いでくれています。

She was serving Roksi.

いろいろな料理が出てきたけれど、僕らが食べられたものは...パンとご飯とデザートと野菜少々(*´∀｀*)。

We were served many kinds of food but we could eat only bread, rice, desserts and some vegetables!

下段右：帰り際、プレゼントを頂きました。お守りのようなものです。

Lower right: When leaving the restaurant, we recieved a gift. It was a Nepali charm.
