お誕生日の祝い 1 (Reiko's Birthday Celebration 1)

6月19日はれいこさんのお誕生日。お友達がお誕生日に何かご馳走を食べてくださいと商品券を送ってきてくださったし、堺のお姉さんは料理をよくするのだからと、堺包丁をプレゼントしてくれたので、僕らは密かに期待していたけれど、今年は誕生日のお祝いに、22日の日曜日に東京恵比寿の三つ星レストラン、ガストロノミー「ジョエル・ロブション」にご招待されているからと、れいこさんは19日は何も用意していませんでした。そうしたら、姪っ子ふたりから、思いかけず瀬戸内の穴子が届いて、急遽、夜は美味しい穴子飯になりました。瀬戸内の穴子は柔らかくて、格別で、兄達もほくほく顔でした。

June 19 is Reiko's birthday.

Reiko's friend kindly sent gift coupons for Reiko to eat something delicious for this special occasion. Reiko's sister presented here an expensive cooking knife made by a master craftman so that Reiko can make delicious dishes. Yet, to our disappointment, Reiko did not have any intention to have a special dinner on 19th, for she had been invited to her birthday dinner in a three-star Michelin restaurant, Gastronomy Joel Robuchon, on June 22. Anyhow, Reiko's nieces surprisingly had her conger eels sent from Okayama. Thanks to this present, we could enjoy a wonderful onger eel dinner on June 19.

6月22日、いよいよ東京でのお食事の日、日曜日なので午前中を使って登美の丘に行こうということになりました。松本駅からは、高尾行きに乗り換えて甲府に。ワインが大好きな友人が南松本から合流、また、その友人の双子のお姉さんが東京から出て来て甲府で合流してくださったので、賑やかで楽しい寄り道になりました。甲府駅からは、週末運行されている、登美の丘までの無料の送迎バスを利用しました。

On June 22, Reiko and I, Po the 6th, headed to Tokyo for the special dinner.

On the way, we stopped by Tominooka Winery in Kofu. One of our friends, who loves wine, joined us at Minami-Matsumoto, and later her twin sister, who came all the way from Tokyo, joined us at Kofu, too. We together took a free bus from Kofu station to Tominoka Winery. With pleasant companies, we could enjoy this winery tour a lot.

一杯、甲州スパークリングを試飲したあと、甲州白がついたランチセットで二杯目、それに高級なメルロー100%の岩垂原の試飲で三杯目を飲みました。僕らは夕食があるから、控え目にしていましたが、双子さんたちはもっとグイグイ飲んでいましたよ！

The first glass was Koushu sparkling. The second glass was Koushu white with a lunch set. Then our third was an expensive Iwadarehara made of 100% Melrot. To enjoy dinner fully later, we did not drink more but our twin friends were far more aggressive!

このあと、双子のお友達とは甲府駅で別れ、僕らはKKR中目黒にチェックイン。服を着替え、ガストロノミー「ジョエル・ロブション」に向かいました。ここでの食事については、「お誕生日のお祝い 2」で、別途レポートします。

After we went back to Kofu station, we left the twin friends to head to our hotel in Tokyo, KKR Meguro, where we changed our clothes for dinner to visit Gastronomy Joel Robuchon. We will report the dinner in this restaurant in the separate blog, "Reiko's Birthday Celebration 2."

翌日、帰路では、勝沼ぶどう郷駅で途中下車。

以前来た時はいろいろなワイナリーを回りましたが、下車したときは陽が差して暑かったのと、二時間ほどの散策ということであれこれ巡るのではなく、駅から正面に見えるぶどうの丘を目指してゆっくり歩くことにしました。

On the next day, we got off on the way, once again, at Katunuma-Budougou.

This was our second visit and last time we visited many wineries. Yet, when we got off the train, it was very warm. Besides we had only two hours to spend. This time, therefore, we decided to visit only one winery, just across from the station, walking leasurely among the vineyards.

前回は車の走る大きな道に沿って歩きましたが、今回は畑の間を歩くことができて、楽しい散策になりました。ぶどうの丘では試飲も多くの種類が用意されていましたが、穂高駅から車の運転があり、試飲できずに残念でした。ぶどうの丘にはホテルもあるようで、今度はお泊まりで来たいなあと。

Last time we could not walk among the vineyards and we loved this walk very much.

In Budo-no-Oka winery, one could taste many kinds of wine but Reiko could not try because she had to drive from Hotaka station to home. As there is a hotel in this winery, we hope that next time we could stay there.

歩いているうちに雲が広がってきて涼しくなり、歩きやすくなりました。この頃、安曇野は猛烈な雨が降っていたようです。家に戻ったら、バラの枝がボキボキ折れていてびっくりしました。

それはともかく、僕らが穂高駅に着く頃には雨は上がっていましたので、今回も僕は（兄たちが助けてくれたおかげもあって）、晴れウマの仕事を無事に果たしました。

While walking, the sky was covered with clouds and thanks to them, the temperature dropped.

At this time, Azumino was attacked by stormy rain. Later we found many rose branches broken in our garden. Still by the time we arrived at Hotaka, the rain had stopped. With my older brothers' help, I could keep a good weather for our trip, once again!
