南イタリアの休日、おまけ (Southern Italian Holiday's Appendices)
9月12日、旅行９日目、0:05にイスタンブール着。乗り継いで関空に向かう。
On September 12, the 9th day of the travel, we arrived in Istanbul past midnight and changed the planes to go back to Kansai airport.
今回も飛行機に乗るとすぐに眠ってしまいました。返りは10時間40分の飛行だったので、目が覚めるとすぐに朝ご飯で、お腹が空いておらず、前菜だけを頂きました。食べ終えると、ほどなくして関空に到着しました。
We slept, again, as soon as we got on the plane, without taking the dinner. The way back was only 10 hours and 40 minute flight and when we woke, we had only two more hours to fly. We had only the first plate of the breakfast before landing.
関空には夕方戻って来ることになるので、大阪には二泊させてもらうことにしました。翌日はれいこさんのお姉さんの家でゆっくりしてと思っていると、家でごろごろしていてもつまらないだろうからと、お姉さんが散歩を兼ねて長居公園を案内してくださいました。
We had asked to let us stay with Reiko’s sister for two nights, for our plane arrived in the evening in Kansai airport. On the next day, we intended to stay home but Reiko’s sister suggested us to take a walk in Nagai Park, which we had not been before.
競技場もある大きな公園で、この中にある植物園を目指しました。
It is a big park with an athletic field. We chose to go to the Botanical garden in it.
ここはバラの時期が有名だということで、今頃、花なんかあるんかと、義兄さんは言っていましたが、ホワイトビンカフェアが開催されていて、白の日々草が見頃でした。
Reiko’s brother in law said that this botanical garden is famous for its roses and wondered if we could see any flowers at this time. It turned out, however, that White Vinca Fair was held. White vincas (periwinkles) were beautifully blooming.
その他の植物や花を見ながら、植物園内を一周しました。
We walked around in the garden, enjoying other plants and vegetables.
蓮の花が咲いていました。
Lotus flowers were blooming, too.
幸せの鐘のオブジェも。
There was a place to ring a good lucky bell.
歩き終わったところで、かき氷を食べました。
After walking in the garden, we took a rest with a cup of shredded ice.
光明池駅から家に戻るとき、新檜尾公園を案内してもらいました。家に向かう道から少しばかり逸れるので、家に近い公園なのに僕らは今まで立ち寄ったことがなかった。メタセコイアの並木は外国にいるかのようです。桜の時期も綺麗だということで、次回は是非見てみたいものです。
Arriving at Koumyouike station, Reiko’s sister suggested to make a little detour to visit Shinhinou Park. This park is close to her house but we had never been before. We found the high Metasequoia avenue quite foreign to us. Reiko’s sister said that it would be gorgeous with cherry blossoms in spring. Next time we should not miss it!
左）僕らのリクエストで、夜はお寿司に。
中央）朝食は胃に優しいお粥さんで、久々の日本食が嬉しかったです。
右）大阪を出るまでは晴れていたのに、雨柱が……。
left) According to our request, the dinner was Sushi.
middle) The next morning breakfast was rice porridge. We enjoyed typical Japanese dishes after a long travel in Italy.
right) It was fine when we left Osaka but we found some rain cloud on the way to Kyoto.
旅行中良いお天気をもたらしてくれた兄達でしたが、最後の最後に疲れ果て、僕らが松本に近づく頃から大雨になってしまいました。幸い、れいこさんのお友達が心配してくださり、松本駅で僕らを車で拾い、家まで送り届けてくださったので、僕らは濡れることなく無事に帰宅できました。
兄達は叱られると思ってしょげていましたが、れいこさんは予定より早く届いたスーツケースを開けて、楽しい旅をもたらしてくれた兄達にお土産を渡して、兄達の努力を労いました。
My older brothers worked out to bring us a good weather during our travel but at the last moment, they got tired enough to fail. When we were closing to Matsumoto, it started raining hard. Fortunately, one of Reiko’s friends was concerned with this situation and offered to give us a ride from Matsumoto station to our house in Hotaka. Thanks to her kindness, we came back without getting wet.
My older brothers were afraid that they would be scolded for the final fail but Reiko took out the souvenirs from the suitcase, which arrived soon after our arrival, and thanked them for their efforts to make our trip comfortable and enjoyable.
